Senior IT Project Manager

Job Introduction

British Transport Police (BTP) are recruiting for a Senior IT Project Manager on a Temporary (15 month) Contract. The role is paying £58,865.26 per annum and will be based in BTP Force Headquarters London, or any one of our other main hubs Birmingham, Leeds, Cardiff, Glasgow or Manchester, with a requirement to travel across the country as operational demand requires. 

As a Senior IT Project Manager you will be required to:


  • Plan, organise, resource, manage and deliver large-scale or complex technology projects from initiation and throughout delivery, delivering significant organisation wide transformational change.

  • Define and communicate (often complex) project scope, objectives, cost, deliverables and timeframe to senior stakeholders.

  • Lead on project delivery including the management of project costs, benefits, resources, risks, issues and inter-dependencies.

  • Provide all relevant project documentation and present at high level governance boards.

  • Plan and lead on business change activities to successfully embed technology change into the organisation.

 

The successful Senior IT Project Manager will be required to evidence the following: 


  • Extensive experience of planning and leading large-scale and complex technology projects in a fast-paced environment using established project management methodologies.

  • Extensive experience of leading and managing customer and stakeholder relationships.

  • Experience of working with a range of business areas to drive technology change.

  • Experience of leading within a large complex organisation, negotiating and influencing personnel at all levels.

  • Experience of leading and motivating teams to deliver all stages of the project lifecycle.

  • Experience of creating and assuring effective project documentation to ensure delivery, resource management and quality.

In return for your experience, we can offer you:

  • A salary of £58,865.26 plus non contractual/non pensionable Skills for the Information Age Supplement up to £5,288.95 (value awarded 0%,50% or 100% dependant on self- assessment) and London Allowance (if based in London) of £3177.65 per annum
