British Transport Police (BTP) have a unique opportunity for a Police Constable to join our Operational Support Unit (OSU) in Bristol.
BTP police and protect 10,000 miles of track and 3,000 railway stations every day – a network that is at the heart of Britain’s community, commerce and industry. The successful candidate's will provide high profile and high impact proactive policing as part of a team by executing initiatives designed to effect the arrest of or to deter active criminal activity with an emphasis toward public order and events, providing a response to incidents by evidence gathering, specifically searches, observations and delivering results.

Initial Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be a current or former officer from a Home Office Police Force, Police Scotland, PSNI or BTP
- Transferees must be substantive in rank and have completed probation
- Re-joiners must apply within 5 years of leaving and have been substantive in rank
- Must have lived in the UK for the past 5 consecutive years
- No live misconduct warnings or performance issues
- Cannot be under current investigation by another force
- No active CCJs, unmanaged IVAs, or bankruptcy
- We do not accept applications from those dismissed from another force
Applicants are expected to complete Level 2 Public Order training and become a Licensed Search Officer (LSO) on joining.
