A vacancy has become available for a Police Sergeant- Deputy Force Incident Manager  to join the Force Control Room team based at FCRL (Force Control Room London) FHQ, London. 

This is a key operational role, responsible for managing risk and ensuring an effective and proportionate policing response to live incidents. The successful candidate will pay a central role in command and control, supporting the delivery of high-quality service to the public. They will work alongside a Force Incident Manager.

The successful applicant will provide support to the FIM and use the National Decision Model to evidence decisions made during incident management. They will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate deployment of operational resources to live incidents and taking initial incident command of a variety of incidents.

 Please note this  is a specialist position, as there is a requirement to be trained as a Tactical Firearms Commander. The role also entails  a minimum tenure period of 24 months. For further information regarding the role, please see the attached job description.
  

Eligibility Criteria:

In order to be considered for this role, applicants must meet the initial eligibility requirements below. By submitting an application, you are self-certifying that you meet this criteria.

• Applicants must be a current or former officer from a Home Office Police Force, Police Scotland, or PSNI
• Transferees must be substantive in rank of Sergeant and have completed probation
• Re-joiners must apply within 5 years of leaving and have been substantive in rank

• Must be operationally deployable.

• Not subject to stage 2 or above sickness proceedings
• No live misconduct warnings or performance issues
• Cannot be under current investigation by another force
• Must have lived in the UK for the past 3 consecutive years
• No active CCJs, unmanaged IVAs, or bankruptcy
• We do not accept applications from those dismissed from another force
• We do not accept applications if you have been declined vetting at another Force within 2 years
