About the Programme

Join British Transport Police’s Scientific Support Unit (SSU) for an exclusive 2-day experience at our London base in Baches Street. This is not volunteering or an internship—it’s an immersive learning opportunity designed for those studying forensics or STEM subjects who want to understand the real-world application of science in policing.

During the placement, you will:
• Discover how forensic science supports criminal investigations
• Learn about crime scene management and evidence recovery
• Explore cutting-edge techniques used by our SSU specialists
• Gain practical insights into careers in forensic policing
