Grade: C001

Salary: Up to £76,298.19: (£61,337.60 basic salary per annum with yearly increments based on performance, plus £4,613.61 London Allowance if applicable, plus a non-contractual/non pensionable Skills for the Information Age supplement of up to £10,346.98 awarded either 0%.50% or 100% based on validation of self-assessment).

 Contract Type: 18 month fixed term contract

 Location: Can be based at across either London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester or Leeds 

 Type of Working Arrangement: Blended approach of home and office-working is available.

 Hours: This is full-time role (37 hours per week).

The Opportunity:

Are you looking for your next exciting career move? British Transport Police have an excellent opportunity for a  Power Platform Architect within our Digital Workplace Services team to lead on the design, delivery and implementation of a new Case Management solution.  You will leverage the broad capabilities of the Power Platform, M365 and Azure to deliver a modern experience for our employees, built to meet their specific needs and business processes, integrating where necessary with 3rd party systems and services. With the support of a dedicated Engineer, as well as the broader team, you will be instrumental in shaping the outcome of this project.

What you'll be doing:

  •  Act as the subject matter expert for Power Platform, Dataverse and Azure within the context of the project.
  • Lead on and undertake the hands-on development of core components, including customising Dataverse, developing model-driven and canvas apps, business process flows and extensions necessary for API integrations with 3rd party XML-based systems.
  • Lead engagement with business stakeholders at a technical level, and provide support to the project manager where appropriate 
  • Work closely with the dedicated Engineer to maximise efficient development practices and adherence to project timelines.
  • Ensure that the solution is fully tested, documented, and subject to all necessary internal approvals.
  • Identify opportunities to embed AI and automation
  •  Ensure the solution meets accessibility, security, and compliance standards in a policing environment

 What you'll bring to the team: 

  • Expertise in Power Platform and Dataverse PL 600 desirable with recent experience of designing, documenting, and delivering complex digital solutions.
  • Proven experience in digital workplace architecture and solution design,
  • Expert understanding of Microsoft services together with recognised Microsoft certifications
  • Strong understanding of AI, automation, and digital service design principles
  • Competence in C# and Dotnet, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and JSON and experience working with XML-based APIs..
  • Experience working within M365 and Azure to deliver complex solutions, including strong understanding of Identity and Access Management.
  • Experience working in a regulated or similar environment.
  • Experience in designing and documenting digital solutions.
  • Highly skilled in interpersonal and verbal/written communications, presentations, and possesses exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
