Job Introduction

Salary: Up to £62,947.44 per annum (£52040.92 basic salary, plus a non-contractual/non pensionable Skills Framework for the Information Age Supplement of up to £6131.52 and £4775.00 London Allowance)

Contract Type: 12 Month FTC

Location: Force Headquarters - London 

Type of Working Arrangement: Blended approach of home and office-working is available

Hours: This is a full-time role (37 hours per week)

The Opportunity:

British Transport Police have an opportunity for an IT Project Manager to join the Technology Department. As an IT Project Manager with BTP, you will plan, organise, resource and manage technology projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget. You will define and communicate project scope, objectives, costs, deliverables and timescales, while working with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver technology change and realise business benefits. 

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Plan, control and coordinate small and medium-sized technology projects from initiation through to delivery. 
  • Manage project budgets, resources, risks, issues, dependencies and governance reporting requirements. 
  • Work with stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into operational project plans. 
  • Plan and implement business change activities to successfully embed technology change across the organisation. 

 

What you'll bring to the team:

  • Educated to degree level in an IT or engineering discipline, or equivalent experience, with professional project management qualifications or significant business experience in project management. 
  • Extensive experience of planning and leading medium to large technology projects using established project management methodologies. 
  • Extensive experience of developing and managing customer and stakeholder relationships and delivering technology change across a range of business areas. 
  • Detailed knowledge of project and change management methodologies, with experience of managing the full project lifecycle and maintaining project documentation.
