Grade: C001 

Salary: Up to £77,226.19: (£61,337.60 basic salary per annum with yearly increments based on performance, plus £4,613.61 London Allowance if applicable, plus a non-contractual/non pensionable Skills for the Information Age supplement of up to £11,274.98 awarded either 0%.50% or 100% based on validation of self-assessment).

Contract Type: 23-month fixed term contract

Location: Can be based at any of our main hubs either London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester, or Leeds 

Type of Working Arrangement: Blended approach of home and office-working is available.

Hours: This is full-time role (37 hours per week).

The Opportunity:

The Technology Department is recruiting for a Digital Workplace Manager to lead the evolution of our digital services. You’ll be at the forefront of delivering workplace solutions that empower our officers and staff to work smarter, faster, and more securely - wherever they are. This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of policing technology, using AI and automation to streamline processes, enhance user experience, and drive continuous improvement across our digital workplace ecosystem.

What you'll be doing: 

  • Lead the design, delivery, and optimisation of digital workplace services
  • Lead, coach and mentor the Digital Workplace Solutions Team to enhance user productivity
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and enhance user experiences across collaboration tools, productivity platforms, and service delivery channels
  • Collaborate with IT, operational teams, and external partners to deliver scalable, secure, and user-centric solutions
  • Champion a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and digital adoption across the organisation
  • Monitor emerging technologies and trends to ensure BTP remains at the cutting edge of workplace transformation

 What you'll bring to the team:

  •  Proven experience in managing digital workplace solutions
  • Expert understanding of Microsoft services together with recognised Microsoft certifications
  • Extensive knowledge in Enterprise and Solution Architecture principles, frameworks and best practices
  • Strong understanding of AI, automation, and digital service design principles
  • A track record of delivering measurable improvements in user experience and operational efficiency
  • Extensive knowledge in the M365 purview, compliance and governance, including advanced email threat protection, data protection and policy management.
