Salary: Up to £67,754.76: (£55,310.87 basic salary per annum with yearly increments based on performance, plus £4,613.61 London Allowance if applicable, plus a non-contractual/non pensionable Skills for the Information Age supplement of up to £7,821.28 awarded either 0%.50% or 100% based on validation of self-assessment).
Contract Type: 23-month fixed term contract
Location: Can be based at one of our main hubs either London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester or Leeds
Type of Working Arrangement: Blended approach of home and office-working is available.
Hours: This is full-time role (37 hours per week).

The Technology Department is recruiting for a Digital Workplace Specialist to support the design and delivery of digital workplace services—making them more intelligent, automated, and user-friendly for officers and staff across the UK. You’ll be at the heart of transforming how BTP works—using AI, automation, and modern digital tools to simplify processes, enhance collaboration, and improve operational efficiency.
What you'll be doing:
- Support the implementation of digital workplace services using AI and automation
- Design user-centric solutions that improve productivity, accessibility, and ease of use
- Collaborate with IT teams, business units, and external partners to deliver impactful improvements
- Support the rollout of intelligent tools such as chatbots, automated workflows, and smart assistants.
- Monitor performance and user feedback to continuously identify innovation and automation opportunities
What you'll bring to the team:
- Proven experience within digital innovation
- Experience of using digital workplace technologies (e.g., Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SharePoint)
- Experience of AI and automation tools (e.g., Copilot, Power Automate, RPA)
- A passion for improving user experience and simplifying complex systems
- Expert understanding of Microsoft services together with recognised Microsoft certifications
- A user-first mindset with a passion for simplifying complex systems
