Finance Internship - 3 Months

Salary: £28,486.92 plus London Allowance £4,613.61 (full-time equivalent), pro-rated for a 3-month period

Internship Duration: 3 months, full-time

Location: Force Headquarters, London 

Type of Working Arrangement: Largely remote, however office attendance will be needed when required

Hours: 37 hours per week

The Opportunity:

We are offering an exciting Finance Internship Programme designed to give you broad, hands-on experience across multiple areas of a busy finance function. This internship is structured as a series of two-week attachments across key finance teams, providing a well-rounded understanding of how finance operates within an organisation. You can expect placements across areas such as:

  • Finance Support Team
  • Finance Business Partnering
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (including Pay and Income leads)
  • Projects
  • Transactional Finance
  • Finance Systems
  • Technical Accounting

Alongside these rotations, you will be given the opportunity to work on one or two challenge projects, allowing you to apply your learning and demonstrate your skills in a practical setting.

 

About you:

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Is studying or has recently completed a finance, accounting, or business-related degree
  • Has strong problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrates a good level of numeracy
  • Has excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Is proactive, curious, and keen to learn about different areas of finance

This internship is an excellent stepping stone for those interested in pursuing a career in finance. In the longer term, high-performing interns may be well placed to apply for future permanent accounting trainee roles within the organisation.
