Salary: £27,655.44 pro-rata (FTE: £55,310.87) plus £2,306.81 pro-rata London allowance (FTE: £4,613.61) for London-based candidates, per annum with yearly increments based on performance.

The Opportunity:
British Transport Police have an opportunity for an Intelligent Client - Uniform & Travel to join our Commercial Services Team.
As an Intelligent Client – Uniform & Travel with BTP, you will provide expert oversight and coordination of uniform and travel services, ensuring seamless delivery and value for money across the Force. You will act as the key liaison between BTP and its strategic partners, driving performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering high-quality services in line with SLAs, ensuring strong engagement with key stakeholders across the Force.
- Developing and maintaining policies and procedures, keeping them up to date with operational, legislative, and business changes.
- Monitoring supplier performance and driving improvements, using data insights to implement action plans and ensure compliance.
- Identifying and addressing anomalies through counter-fraud measures, escalating issues where necessary to maintain integrity.
- Supporting projects and strategic initiatives, providing documentation and recommendations to senior management.
- Promoting continuous service improvement, contributing to departmental communications and stakeholder engagement.
What you'll bring to the team:
- MCIPS full or part qualified, or equivalent experience/qualification.
- Cabinet Office/BLC Contract Management Capability Programme – Foundation (or willingness to achieve).
- Experience of working in contract management, procurement and within project management environments, with a successful track record in large, multi-disciplined organisations.
- Ability to write clear, concise business cases and reports, providing balanced advice on contractual issues.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with first-class interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management, both internally and externally, acting as a strategic advisor where required.
- Resilient and organised, able to prioritise demanding workloads and respond to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of contract management and procurement in a public sector environment, with high political awareness and sensitivity.
